COVID Anxiety

I don’t know about you, but as a grandparent I am pretty anxious about what my middle and elementary school grandchildren missed out on in the last nine weeks of the previous school year. And now, we are facing another possible nine weeks or more of virtual learning.

I can only imagine how anxious parents of high school students are at this ever changing moment in time.

I can help you ensure that your student is getting the necessary guidance in preparation for not only success in high school but the all important preparation for their transition to college.Based on my years of experience as a high school and post secondary counselor, I have put together what I believe is an outstanding curriculum which is grade specific (9-12) that will cover all aspects of high school success and preparation for college.

A lot happens in a high school during the last nine weeks laying the foundation for all aspects of the college process. I fear that students are behind, and unfortunately the process continues to move forward. I would love to work with your student to empower them

and equip them to make sound educational and career decisions. As a plus for parents, you can enjoy these last few years with your student rather than stress and have conflict with your child. I will handle the stress for you.

Personally, I know how stressful it can be as I led my four sons through the process. The constant deadline reminders and pushing to complete tasks will be better received from me than mom or dad. I remember one afternoon having to pull my son off the baseball field (as he was warming up as catcher in a regional game) to get an essay that had to be postmarked that day for a scholarship award. Thankfully, he received the scholarship award, but at that moment in time, I was not the most popular mom in the world.
